Amba Devi Bhujanga Pancharatna Stotram lyrics Meaning

  1. Verse 1: O Mother! Kindly bind my mind, which wanders like a monkey, dancing and jumping around, constantly restless and distracted, with the noose of your sidelong glance, which is as powerful as the noose of love.
  2. Verse 2: O Mother! Just as you see Ganesha with his elephant face and Kartikeya with his six faces, why don’t you see me? What should I say? Your eyes always have work to do, so please look at me with your third eye.
  3. Verse 3: If you do this, O Mother, your heart will become very pleased and satisfied. What else could be there for you to achieve? Where will your fame come from otherwise? This is my opinion, and I am telling the truth.
  4. Verse 4: Even after saying this, if you do not become cool and composed, then, born from the cool mountain, your birth becomes futile. For how long should I wait, only to see your divine form?
  5. Verse 5: You are the true cause of the universe’s creation, sustenance, and destruction. You alone are the truth and eternal. Other gods are said to be temporary. My mind is always attached to your two feet, O Mother.

Epilogue: Thus ends the Panchratnam (five gems) of the Ambabhujanga Stotra composed by the venerable Kamacharya.
